My team included my Daughter Noelle, her husband Austin, Arin, and Ron Wagner. We hit the street, hoping to find some hidden treasure this year. I was happy to see and taste new items.
Booth # 36 Twin Towers

The “Loaded Spud” is a Twin Towers favorite. The large baked potato comes with all the necessary toppings, such as butter, sour cream, cheese, and, if you want and you know you do…pulled pork BBQ.
Booth #35 Howell United Methodist

They dip their hot dogs in pancake batter and then deep-fry them. That’s what gives this pronto pup its crunchy golden coating. It’s a BIG bite.
Booth #34 West Side Christian Church

This Dot Chocolate Cake is a new item. Vanilla cake with sprinkles is also an option.
Another new item is a chicken sandwich with jalapeño popper spread.
Booth #33 Freedom Life Center

The Firecracker Street Corn is a new item this year. The ladies came up with this new flavor out of the blue. The BBQ Grippo dust gives it that spicy goodness.
Booth #32 Central UMC

The “Bubble Waffle” is a new item. Dip it in maple syrup, or drizzle with strawberry or chocolate sauce.
Booth #31 St. Matthew’s Church

This booth is known for its divinity, fudge, and other goodies. My team and I loved the handmade peanut butter fudge. We give it four thumbs up.
Booth #30 St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

The BBQ Mac & Cheese Parfait is a festival favorite.
Booth #29 Resurrection Church

I know when I think of fall weather, the food that comes to mind is Chicken & Dumplings. The chicken was tender, and the dumplings were made to perfection.
Booth #28 St. Joseph School PTO

One of their top sellers is the Flaming Squealer. It’s a pork patty, sriracha, and jalapeño with pepper jack cheese on a bun.
Booth #27 Sigma Tau Gamma

It’s a stromboli with a twist. Here they give you plenty of meat, sauce, and cheese on a large bun.
Booth #26 Evansville Firefighters #357

The Flaming Peanut Butter Burger was a winner this year. The peanut butter cancels out the heat from the jalapeños. After all, they are firemen. They know what’s hot and what’s not.
Booth #25 Good Shepherd

The four of us tried the pork tenderloin and loved it. It’s one of the best on Franklin Street.
Booth #24 Bethany Christian Church

The West Side Ski Cheesecake is a yummy treat. Not only is it delicious, but it’s also homemade down to the crunchy crust.
Booth #23 German Township Booster

The Spicy Turkey Crawl is a combination of spicy shredded turkey and crawfish etouffee. For dessert, have a piece of their bread pudding with whiskey sauce.
Booth #22 St. James West

The corn fritter is the only item at this booth. Dipping them in maple syrup is the only way to go.
Booth #21 Evansville Young Life

The “Frost Bite” is a new item. That’s not cream in the middle of that Donut Bank chocolate long john. It’s vanilla ice cream. Hence the name “frost bite”.
Booth #20 Perry Heights PTSA

There was a long line for this jalapeño popper grilled cheese. The salty potato chip topping hit the spot.
Booth #19 Substance Abuse Council

The “Slap Yo Mama” wings are a new item. They ain’t lying about how hot they are. In fact, too hot for me. If you like heat, you’ll love this.
Booth #18 Emanuel Lutheran Church

I love a good fried German bologna sandwich. The added cheese, onion, and pickle made it even better.
Booth #17 Pleasant Chapel Church

This potato soup gets its creamy texture from the heavy whipping cream and half-and-half. This tastes so good anytime, especially on a cold day.
Booth #16 Hoof Beats Therapeutic Riding

This organization provides free therapeutic horseback riding to veterans. Here you’ll find delicious coffees, teas, boba, mushroom coffee, and mochas. The picture above is an ice-cold muddy mocha.
Booth #15 Hadi Funsters

We skipped the sweet treats and went right for the loaded BBQ fries.
Booth #14 First Christian Church Evansville

One of our favorite booths for peanut butter fudge.
Booth #13 Unitarian Universalist Church

Mango sticky rice: is it a meal or a dessert? That’s for you to decide. My daughter says it has a rice pudding taste.
Booth #12 West Side Sportsman’s Club

I love how the steak in this Philly cheesesteak is crumbled. It’s less messy this way. Their Polish sausage is also a festival favorite.
Booth #11 Nutty Bar/Yoo Hoo

I couldn’t make up my mind here. I wanted to try one of everything. I had to decide on ice cream, potato candy, cinnamon rolls, or a Yoo Hoo Shake. The shake tastes just like a Wendy’s Frosty.
Booth #10 Life Choices Pregnancy Resource
I love a good strawberry cheesecake, or any cheesecake, actually. What you see here is handmade and delicious.
Booth #8 Eagle View Church

We had to try the stuffed pepper soup. It’s thick and filling.
Booth #7 Band Box

Popular items here are the Italian Beef Sandwiches and the Spicy or Chicken Sandwiches. We tried the Italian beef and loved it.
Booth #6 Holy Redeemer

They have perfected the Smoked Turkey Leg. They have very good bean soup and cornbread. The turkey leg is a two-handed delicacy.
Booth #5 FOP Lodge #73

This is the Police Chief’s favorite: The pork parfait. He’s the one who recommended it. He wasn’t wrong either. That’s why he’s the boss.
Booth #4 Nile Patrol Brain Sandwich

This has been a festival favorite for years. The line is always long, and I hear worth the wait.
Booth #2 Venture Crew 399

An icy apple cider slushy.
Booth #1 Granted

Here you’ll find Pumpkin Bread Pudding, Bratwurst, Pork Chop Sandwich, and the popular Zombie Boogers. Pictured above is pumpkin bread pudding.
