An Evansville man was arrested and charged after he falsely reported a child missing.
Jeff Holsomback reported that the child had left home earlier in the day.
During a follow-up investigation, officers learned that Holsomback had lied and had actually purchased a bus ticket for the child.
The false report tied up multiple officers for hours.
Holsomback was arrested and charged with false informing.
