A teen is in jail after an 11-month-old child was found dead inside a home in Cleaton.
On Saturday, officers responded to a reported disturbance on Harrison Avenue.
The father told police that his child was supposed to be in the care of 19-year-old Elijah Mayes while he was at work.
Mayes told officers that a family friend had picked up the child Friday night.
That turned out not to be the case.
Grayson Walton was found deceased inside a residence.
Mayes’s charges include murder, abuse of a corpse, criminal abuse, and tampering.
