Aug 21 (Reuters) – The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo has killed more than 2,500 people and is spreading exponentially in an area larger than the size of France, senior United Nations Ebola coordinator Julien Harneis said on Friday.
Aid funding only covers the next few weeks and could run out unless more money is given, he said, while decrying an “unacceptable” series of attacks on health workers.
