An Evansville man was arrested after he tried to steal the cash register from a fast food restaurant.
It happened Saturday night at the Hardee’s on West Illinois Street.
The manager said that she had just left the store and was watching the cameras when she saw Brayden Herron standing outside the drive-through window.
When the employee walked away, Herron opened the window and grabbed cups, a box of sauces, a bag of candy, and the cash register.
He didn’t get the register, but ran off with the other items before he was caught.
Herron is charged with theft and public intoxication.
