One person has died, and two others have been seriously injured in a crash in Daviess County.
Emergency crews responded Thursday afternoon to the intersection of US Highway 60 and Carter Road to an accident involving three vehicles.
The initial investigation indicates that a Jeep was in the right lane of U.S. 60 beside a Honda when another vehicle attempted to merge onto the bypass from the Carter Road on-ramp.
This caused the Jeep and Honda to contact each other, causing the Honda to lose control, cross the median, and enter the westbound lanes, striking a minivan.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
