A repeat animal abuser received an updated prison sentence on Tuesday for a probation violation.
Shayna Burko was already sentenced to four years in prison, where she pleaded guilty but mentally ill.
Burko has been arrested multiple times in the past eight years with animal neglect charges in both Warrick and Vanderburgh County.
She will serve an additional two years in prison, for a total of six years behind bars.
