Indiana Governor Mike Braun has extended the suspension of Indiana’s gas tax for another 30 days.
He has also suspended the excise tax, currently set at $0.36 per gallon.
Combined, the taxes add up to $0.59 a gallon.
The suspensions will give Hoosiers a 12.4% discount on the average price of gasoline.
His office confirmed that the extension is the longest he can suspend the gas tax on his own authority without a special legislative session.
