The Ohio Township Fire Department was dispatched to the 4100 block of Lakeshore Drive last night for a possible water rescue.
A call came into dispatch around 8:00 regarding two people who had fallen through the ice.
Before the fire department’s arrival, law enforcement advised that both individuals were out of the water and were being evaluated on scene.
Emergency officials want to remind you that no ice is safe ice.
It may appear solid, but conditions can change quickly, weakening the surface and creating dangerous and potentially life-threatening situations.
