Vanderburgh County has released its drug overdose statistics for 2025.
Coroner Bryan Underwood says Fentanyl is definitely on the rise.
46 people died from a drug overdose, seven fewer than the year before.
Fentanyl deaths increased from five in 2024 to 15 last year.
The majority of overdose deaths were accidental.
The coroner says he was surprised that more people in their 40s and 50s were the ones who died.
He says it’s important to get help if you or someone you know is dealing with a drug addiction.
