Low-income residents in Kentucky can now apply for the home energy assistance program, also known as LIHEAP.
The winter crisis program, which is available in all 120 Kentucky counties, assists households facing a home heating emergency.
Applicants need to bring proof of Social Security Number or Permanent Residence card for each household member, and the most current electric bill.
Applications are on a first-come, first-served basis, or until funds are gone.
Residents can contact their local Community Action Agency office to apply.
