A dine and dash thief is arrested and accused of not paying his bill at a Denny’s in Oakland City.
Gibson County deputies responded to the call on Saturday afternoon.
44-year-old Derek Jones had ordered food and left without paying his $31.67 balance.
It’s believed that the homeless man did the same thing the day before at two other restaurants.
Jones was located behind a dumpster across the street and taken to jail, and charged with two counts of theft.
Jones has an extensive criminal record and currently has 9 non-extraditable warrants out of Illinois.
