Evansville police have arrested a mother stemming from an incident that happened last July.
Ashley Ellis is facing neglect charges after her one-year-old was found in the middle of the street.
Officers say they couldn’t find the girl’s mother, but at her house, they found her 16-year-old and their friend.
The 16-year-old was having a seizure, so an ambulance was called.
Ellis allegedly gave the teens a bottle of vodka before she left.
The teen told officers they had three shots each and that she had no idea her friend’s little sister was home.
The mother was located two days later.
