Hawesville emergency crews raced to Jeffrey’s Cliffs, where a man was reported to have fallen from the overlook Wednesday afternoon.
He fell about 30 feet.
It took about an hour to get to the man, but rescuers were finally able to get him to the helicopter that had been summoned.
The victim was flown to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
