Wednesday afternoon, Gibson County Dispatch received a report about a semi facing the wrong way on I-64.
A Gibson County sheriff’s Deputy responded along with the Haubstadt Fire Department.
The driver, 55-year-old Shawn Kemble of Texas, appeared to be under the influence while speaking to the deputy.
An investigation revealed that the semi struck the I-64 bridge over I-69 on the north side of the roadway.
The semi continued down the concrete bridge, where it then crossed the median and came to rest partially in the westbound lane.
He was arrested and charged with OWI.
