A traffic stop in Gibson County ended with a Kentucky man going to jail.
Last Saturday afternoon, a deputy pulled a Dodge Avenger over for speeding on Warrenton Road.
The deputy had his K9 partner Duke perform a free air sniff around the vehicle.
At that point, a search was conducted, where a firearm and multiple drugs were discovered.
38-year-old Scott Mercer of Sturgis was cuffed and taken to jail.
He is charged with 2 counts of possession of a schedule drug and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
