A Tri-State man known nationwide as the Truck Stop Serial Killer is to be sentenced for his third murder today.
Edwards County native Bruce Mendenhall was convicted by an Indianapolis jury in January.
The latest trial concerned the murder of Carman Purpura, who was last seen alive at the Flying J Truck Stop south of Indianapolis.
Detectives found Purpura’s blood-soaked clothes during a search of Mendenhall’s truck cab.
