An early morning fire near a church south of Philpot is under investigation.
Early Thursday morning crews with the Daviess County Fire Department were dispatched to a residence fire in the 6300 block of Millers Mill Road near the Bethabara Baptist Church.
When they arrived, they saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the basement.
Madisonville and Thruston-Philpot fire departments were also on the scene.
All residents safely evacuated before the fire crews arrived with no injuries.
