Recent inspections of the Blue Bridge in Owensboro revealed some issues on the Indiana side, so the bridge will not be closing anytime soon.
Kentucky Transportation hopes to streamline the work with Indiana to address those issues in order to only close the bridge once.
At this point, officials say the closure will likely happen early next year.
