Evansville police responded to a broad daylight shots fired call in the 700 block of South Evans just before noon on Wednesday.
Officers in the vicinity heard and saw several shots being fired and several people running away.
After a brief standoff, four suspects were taken from the house in cuffs.
Six guns were recovered in a warrant search of the house.
No formal arrests have been made as detectives try to piece together what happened.
