An Evansville man was stabbed over the weekend for telling a joke.
The victim told EPD he was helping a friend work on a car when he made a joke.
The joke upset the friend’s acquaintance enough for them to start stabbing him.
He held his hands up in self-defense during the attack.
He then drove himself to the hospital.
He has decided not to press charges.
The police report didn’t mention what the joke was.
