A former treasurer of the Aurora Farmers Fair was arrested and charged with theft.
Detectives with the Indiana State Police began an investigation last month when the fair board reported missing money.
It was determined that the board treasurer was 54-year-old Scott Petty during that timeframe.
He allegedly used the farmer’s fair credit card and bank account to pay for personal vacations, bills, car payments, and other miscellaneous items.
Petty is accused of spending over $70,000.
