A 20-year-old Evansville man was arrested for allegedly stealing his father’s rental car.
Officers were dispatched Sunday afternoon around 4:15 to the 3600 block of Rodenburg Avenue in response to a stolen vehicle.
The victim told police she and her husband just returned home from a trip when Darrel Jennings Jr. asked to borrow the car.
He was told no since it was a rental.
Jennings began to argue with her and took the vehicle without permission.
Police found him hiding in a closet at his residence.
Jenning’s phone and handgun were found in the driver’s side door.
