Evansville police were dispatched to a far-east-side hotel Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses saw police units speeding to the scene at the Baymont Hotel around 3:30 pm.
Negotiators were speaking to someone in a vehicle in the hotel parking lot whom they believed was armed.
The subject surrendered peacefully after some time and was taken to a hospital.
