Evansville police were called to the 100 block of Harper Avenue a little before 4:00 this morning.
Dispatchers got a report of a man banging on a door saying he’d been shot.
Arriving officers found a man with several gunshot wounds.
It’s not clear whether his injuries are life-threatening.
The shooting scene has been located nearby and investigators are working to develop a suspect.
