The annual lighting of the official Evansville Christmas tree is tonight at 5pm in front of the Civic Center. The 20 year old Norway spruce was donated by St. Wendell Catholic Church, and was brought to the Civic Center last week. It was decorated with 25,000 lights, and a lit “e is for everyone.” It will be the final ceremony of its kind for outgoing Mayor Lloyd Winnecke.
