Troopers and Detectives from the Indiana State Police are investigating after a single-engine plane crashed in a cornfield near Jeffersonville.
It happened Thursday morning one mile north of the Ohio River just east of the Port of Indiana.
When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they located a small, two-seater personal aircraft.
Neither the pilot nor the passenger were injured.
Detectives believe a mechanical malfunction may be to blame in the crash.
The plane had flown out of Bowman Field in Louisville earlier that morning.
