An Owensboro third-grade teacher receives a pleasant shock.
On Thursday, Charlott Buskill was named the winner of the Milken Education Award, which comes with a check for 25 thousand dollars.
The award is often referred to as the Oscar of Teaching.
Buskill is one of about 40 teachers nationwide recognized for bringing out the best in everyone in her classroom.
She says she hopes to serve as a model for other teachers.
