First responders arrived at a serious accident on Highway 66 near Lincoln Avenue in Newburgh around 4:00 this morning.
The Warrick County Sheriff’s Office says a child and his mother were from out of town and not familiar with the area.
They were staying with her boyfriend at a business located off of the busy highway.
The mother woke up and noticed that the child wasn’t there.
He was outside and had darted into traffic where he was killed.
The driver preformed CPR on the 4 year old until emergency crews arrived.
