The Evansville Police Department and Animal Control were called about four dogs left outside in the extreme heat.
This happened on Monday afternoon in the 900 block of North Lincoln Park Drive.
Officials say two dogs were found deceased from heat exhaustion as well as three empty water bowels.
49 year old Jolan Hunter was arrested and charged with animal neglect and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail.
