Evansville police answered a shots-fired call around 8 o’clock this morning in the 2200 block of Riverside Drive.
There, they learned that a woman had been shot in the leg and the suspect was barricaded inside the house with her.
After a brief stand-off the suspect allowed the woman to leave the house before he took off running.
The suspect refused police commands, and was tased and captured by a K-9.
Three officers suffered what’s described as bumps and bruises as they gave chase.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The suspect, identified as 39 year old Sendaneo Wallace, who apparently lived across the street, also had to be treated for dog bites.
