Thirty-seven months in federal prison was the sentence given to an Evansville man yesterday.
As stated by court documents, on June 13, 2020 police responded to the intersection of Highway 41 and Covert Avenue for a car crash and gun shots being fired.
Officers say they found an man passed out and a young girl with gunshot wounds.
The girl told police that Paje Diaz was the shooter.
He opened fire from the front passenger seat of another vehicle.
Diaz, was originally charged with two accounts of attempted murder.
Those charges were dropped back in March.
