On Saturday, October 30, the Vanderburgh County Solid Waste District will hold a Tire Recycling Day from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Civic Center parking lot.
The first four car and light truck tires will be accepted free of charge; a $1 per tire fee will be charged thereafter. Additional fees will be charged for larger tires. Tire Recycling Day is for Vanderburgh County households only. Tires from businesses will not be accepted.
The Solid Waste District has contracted with NuGenesis, Inc. to handle the tire collection and disposal.
