Centerpoint Energy says customers could see a significant increase in their heating bills this winter — echoing Henderson Municipal Gas, who announced their projections earlier this week.
Based on expected natural gas costs and normal winter weather, customers could pay an average of $146 a month for the five-month heating season November through March.
That compares with $75 a month through the heating season last year.
