The man whom police say admitted to shooting and killing another man last week is now free.
Richard Garrett told dispatchers in a 9-1-1 call that he shot Douglas Fulkerson whom he said pulled out a gun and pointed it at others, including Garret.
Garrett has not been charged in that shooting, but was arrested on meth possession and dealing charges.
Garrett posted a $5-thousand cash bond on the drug charges and was released.
Patrick Garrett was arrested on the same drug charges and is still in jail.
