Warrick County Sheriff’s Office recovered a body out of the river at the Newburgh Lock and Dam.
The coroner and the sheriff were on scene.
Sheriff Mike Wilder said that the lockmaster notified the sheriff’s department of a body in the water.
When Newburgh Fire arrived and launched their boats, they found the body in the water.
Sheriff Wilder says the body somehow went through the lock and dam.
They do not have an identity on the body at this time.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
Foul Play is not suspectd.
