Various news sources are reporting that the Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans is urging the faithful not to take the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the archdiocese, it’s developed from stem cells obtained from abortions.
In a statement on the website, the organization argued that Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine was “morally compromised.”
They advise that Catholics should choose to receive either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines.
A request for comment from Johnson & Johnson was not immediately returned.
