Employers may be able to make vaccination required

You may have to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, whether you’d like to or not. As doses become widely available, some employers across the tri-state are looking to mandate it to their employees. Local attorney Jim Casey says he’s received numerous questions from his clients on whether or not employers will actually be able to implement this. As he explains, “Not all will implement. I think a lot of employers will decide to highly recommend it and ask employees to do it voluntarily.” He believes some exceptions to this may come down to protections from the ADA, also known as the Americans with Disabilities Act. The changing of times brings a lot of legal grey areas. As of right now, the general public does not have access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
