The White House recommends that Kentuckians in red or orange counties — which includes all Kentucky counties in our area — should have no social gatherings at all beyond immediate families.
Governor Andy Beshear says that local entities must be the ones to take initiative.
But most local government officials say such a declaration should come from Frankfort.
According to the White House, 110 of Kentucky’s 120 counties are in the red or orange zones.
