A Vanderburgh County judge lets stand the bond of a 20 year old man charged with neglect of a dependent causing death.
Anthony Meriweather was handling a gun in a north-side apartment when it went off and struck and killed his infant daughter Iowa.
Bond was set at $50-thousand surety or $5-thousand cash.
Meriweather posted bond and was released.
Prosecutors asked Court Magistrate Gary Schutte to reconsider the bond amount, but he said prosecutors had plenty of time to present evidence and that the bond was correct under the circumstances.
