Indiana’s attorney general says Governor Eric Holcomb doesn’t have the authority to mandate mask-wearing statewide.
Yesterday, (Wed) Holcomb issued an order requiring masks in public places all across Indiana.
A-G Curtis Hill, responding to a request for an opinion from several lawmakers, says constitutionally, it is in the purview of the general assembly, not the governor, to issue such a mandate.
He urged the governor to call a special session of the General Assembly.
