Evansville police question a man who showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg.
He said he was shot during an argument with 43-year-old Joshua Dale Williams.
Officers determined that Williams had an intimidation warrant against him from a separate incident and went to his home on Missouri Street, learning from witnesses that Williams was at home and probably armed.
Negotiators made contact, and a search warrant was obtained for the home.
Williams remained barricaded in the house for a few hours before he surrendered without incident.
