For president, and to no one’s surprise, Joe Biden won the Indiana primary — all of his opponents suspended their campaigns earlier, which is tantamount to throwing in the towel. Donald Trump won the GOP primary in Indiana with 89 percent of the vote.
Most of the local races in the democratic primary had unopposed candidates.
Incumbents dominate the GOP races… In VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Cheryl Musgrave is the Republican nominee for County Commissioner in District Three. With all precincts reporting, Musgrave defeats Randall Chapman 61 percent to 39…
In the Republican race for County Council At-large, Joe Kiefer (KEE-fer) has 29 percent of the vote, with 26.2 percent for Angela Koehler (KAY-lor) Lindsey, and slightly over 26 percent for Jill Anne Hahn. All three will represent the party in the November election. Billy D. Garrett finished with 18 percent.
In WARRICK COUNTY, Ron Bacon, Brad Overton and Ted Metzger are teh Republican nominees for County Council….
Patty Perry gets the nod over B.J. Farrell in the Circuit Court Clerk’s race 56 percent to 44.
For Coroner, the GOP nominee will be Sarah Seaton, with 72 percent of the vote, to 28 percent for Christopher Leduc.
In GIBSON COUNTY, 91 percent of precincts are reporting. Two commissioner’s races were on the Republican ballot.
In DISTRICT TWO, Kenneth Montgomersy narrowly leads Stephen Bottoms 51 percent to 49….
In DISTRCT THREE, Gerald Bledsoe is the winner over Richard Wallace 56 percent to 44….
and in the race for County Council at Large. Derek McGraw leads a five-candidate field with 23 percent, followed closely by Mike Stilwell at 22 percent, and Bill McConnell with 21 percent….
