The driver of a vehicle suspected of damaging the recently repaired Panther Creek Bridge has been identified.
Kentucky State Police say 53-year-old Willis Fagan of Livermore was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
Officials had been asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspected vehicle via home security video.
Inspectors who examined the Panther Creek Bridge say it cannot be repaired.
Kentucky State Trooper Corey King estimates the bridge could be closed for as long as two years.
