More information is available regarding the pedestrian struck on the Lloyd Thursday morning.
Upon arrival, deputies determined that the pedestrian had sustained life-threatening injuries.
According to the initial investigation, a 2016 Scion xB was traveling west on the Lloyd Expressway around 3:30 when it struck a person who was lying in the roadway.
Witnesses at the scene reported seeing a subject in dark clothing walking in the area before the crash.
Alcohol and or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
