Daviess County Fire Department units were kept busy Sunday.
They conducted at least 8 emergency water rescues.
One concerned parent, and their 2-month-old baby daughter and family pets.
Luke Waddel said he woke up to find water in his house and the street flooded.
The family and their pets got into a Daviess County rescue boat.
Several of their neighbors also were rescued by boat and were taken to safety.
