Henderson residents voiced their concerns regarding their water bill in a City commissioners meeting last night.
Due to a technical error with new water meters customers were only charged for 10 percent of their usage.
The city wanted to eat the bill, but they say legally they can’t.
Over the next 12 months, customers will see an increase in their monthly bills.
A $50,000 utility assistance fund was created for those needing help.
Affected customers will receive a breakdown of their make-up charges in the mail.
