An Evansville man was sentenced to 60 years in prison for killing his grandmother.
John Stevens is convicted of killing 85-year-old Betty Stevens back in June of 2022 on East Michigan Street.
Stevens called 9-1-1 and told dispatchers that Betty died of old age, but the evidence at the scene told a different story.
He killed his grandmother by strangling her and punching her in the eye.
