Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry and leaders from different organizations held a town hall meeting Wednesday night.
The panel was there to discuss the issues with the care and control of animals in the city.
The top concerns are overcrowding in shelters, lack of veterinarians, and adoption rates.
Evansville is collaborating with the “Best Friends Animal Society” to establish a plan to address ways the city can improve.
The mayor plans to hold more meetings in the future.
