Two Boonville parents are behind bars for leaving their 2-year-old home alone while they went to a soccer game.
On Saturday Officers were dispatched to a home on Maple Street for a welfare check.
The officers entered the house and found the toddler in a locked room.
Tyler and Autumn Brown drove past the residence and saw the officer and child outside.
They continued to drive until an officer followed them and placed them into custody.
Autumn told officers she thought it would be okay to leave the child alone because she would only be gone a short time.
They are both charged with neglect.
